The day we we reached Florence, we had that evening at our leisure so we searched for best things to do in Florence and here we go ! Top suggested thing was to watch sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo. After going through reviews we started navigating towards it. It was few kms from our Airbnb and since we had time we decided to walk and explore the city on the way. Some memories captured on the way —

En route to Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo is situated on hill so it was a bit tiring towards the end. But once we reached their we were blown by the liveliness of the place. There were many tourists up there — some were busy in shopping , some were enjoying beer and others sitting on stairs desperately waiting for sunset. There were many photographers arranging their cameras to get some nice sunset shots. There was a dance group doing street show.

Sharing a bit of it —

Crowd waiting for Sunset

We grabbed pizza and managed to get a decent place to view sunset. While sitting there, I noticed a girl, probably a solo traveller observing things around her and writing her diary. Unknowingly she was reminding me of my writing goals 🙂

As evening was approaching we could see the changing colors in sky and the beautiful view of city from top. It was forcing us to fall in love with the place. Witnessing this sunset and its reflection in river Arno, the city enveloped in golden sky along with amazing people from across the globe — This set up was no less than a fairytale for me. It was one of the best sunsets I have seen till now! Leaving you with some of our hand picked shots taken from Piazzale Michelangelo.
